Alysia

Alysia began working at Clarence Street Dental in October 2020. She’s already felt so welcome and loves how friendly everyone is who works here. She loves the positive energy and the lots of laughs we have every day. When she’s not working, she loves spending time with her family and friends – especially when they have game nights or go bowling!

Dental Assistant

Amy

Dental Assistant

Amy’s passion for dentistry began when she was just a child. She always enjoyed going to the dentist and knew one day it was what she wanted to do.  She attended the Toronto School of Business and CDI College and has been a dental assistant for over 14 years now. Amy joined Clarence Street Dental in 2019. She enjoys the surgical side of assisting, as well as working with patients with special needs. Amy was born in Cambridge but moved to Brantford in 2011. She has two stepchildren and six nephews, and enjoys walking her dog, camping, and hanging out with her friends.

Dental Assistant

Charlotte

Dental Assistant

Charlotte began working at Clarence Street Dental in July 2022. Her favourite part of joining the team is how close-knit everyone is and how all the different departments come together to make the office run so smoothly! She says that everyone is so friendly and were very helpful in her transition into her position – that they’ve made it so easy and fun, and that she’s very excited about what her future has in store here! Some of her hobbies are staying active in the gym, reading a good book, and going out for dinner while enjoying a nice glass of red wine and trying new foods!!

Dental Assistant

Emily

Dental Assistant

As a child, Emily chipped her front teeth in an accident and her dentist was able to see her right away. The compassion shown to her shaped her experience for the better and she knew that she wanted to create the same type of experience for others. As a recent graduate from Niagara College, she worked very hard to graduate with Honours and became a certified dental assistant. After moving from Nova Scotia, Emily knew she wanted to work at Clarence Street Dental one day. From becoming a new patient at our office, to being a long time patient, she knew she wanted to become part of this team. As a dental assistant, Emily loves to help patients by providing them with helpful information about their dental procedures. She says this helps anxious patients understand what the procedure is and know they are in good hands. She also loves teaching kids about dentistry and the “sugar bugs” (or cavities) that affect their teeth and how they can have great oral health. Emily enjoys a range of activities, including outdoor activities like kayaking, hiking, and skiing, and learning how to play the piano. She believes it’s always important to get out there and try new things!

She knew as soon as she started high school that she wanted to do something that involved being at the dentist. She completed dental assisting school at Westervelt College with honours and eight perfect attendance certificates, and did her placement here at Clarence Street Dental. She said she was honoured to be hired during her last week of placement and is proud that she is now a full time team member. Jaime has discovered a passion for dental surgery as her love for extractions and periodontal surgeries increases daily. Life outside work for Jaime is all about horses, and she spends her down time with her horses and her cows too! She has a huge heart for her family, and loves spending time with them at the beach and taking their dog, Tyler, for walks together.

Dental Assistant

She thought dentistry would be an awesome career to pursue and graduated from Medix College for dental assisting. She has been an assistant for over 13 years now, and has been at Clarence Street Dental for over 4 years. Despite the fact the dentist she works with loves root canals, she says she doesn’t have a favourite procedure. She says each patient is so different that every appointment is interesting! Jess is absolutely in love with her sons, Bodhi and Griffin. But when she does get free time she loves to eat out and try new foods. And she says she can’t forget about her love for all things Harry Potter!!!
