Alysia began working at Clarence Street Dental in October 2020. She’s already felt so welcome and loves how friendly everyone is who works here. She loves the positive energy and the lots of laughs we have every day. When she’s not working, she loves spending time with her family and friends – especially when they have game nights or go bowling!
Amy’s passion for dentistry began when she was just a child. She always enjoyed going to the dentist and knew one day it was what she wanted to do. She attended the Toronto School of Business and CDI College and has been a dental assistant for over 14 years now. Amy joined Clarence Street Dental in 2019. She enjoys the surgical side of assisting, as well as working with patients with special needs. Amy was born in Cambridge but moved to Brantford in 2011. She has two stepchildren and six nephews, and enjoys walking her dog, camping, and hanging out with her friends.
Charlotte began working at Clarence Street Dental in July 2022. Her favourite part of joining the team is how close-knit everyone is and how all the different departments come together to make the office run so smoothly! She says that everyone is so friendly and were very helpful in her transition into her position – that they’ve made it so easy and fun, and that she’s very excited about what her future has in store here! Some of her hobbies are staying active in the gym, reading a good book, and going out for dinner while enjoying a nice glass of red wine and trying new foods!!
Courtney has worked at Clarence Street Dental since September 2024. She went to school here in Brantford at Anderson College and graduated with honours. Courtney enjoys how welcoming everyone is at the office. Her personal hobbies are spending time with her family and dogs, and she enjoys photography.
Eva started working at Clarence Street Dental in October 2000. In her spare time, she enjoys bike riding, cooking (her speciality is pierogies), and sitting by the pool drinking cocktails.
Jaime chose to become a dental assistant as she says she’s always had a love for teeth! Growing up, she enjoyed going to the dentist and having her teeth cleaned. She knew as soon as she started high school that she wanted to do something that involved being at the dentist. She completed dental assisting school at Westervelt College with honours and eight perfect attendance certificates, and did her placement here at Clarence Street Dental. She said she was honoured to be hired during her last week of placement and is proud that she is now a full time team member. Jaime has discovered a passion for dental surgery as her love for extractions and periodontal surgeries increases daily. Life outside work for Jaime is all about horses, and she spends her down time with her horses and her cows too! She has a huge heart for her family, and loves spending time with them at the beach and taking their dog, Tyler, for walks together.
As a child, Jess loved going to the dentist as she thought it was so exciting when they’d put your picture on the wall for being cavity-free! She thought dentistry would be an awesome career to pursue and graduated from Medix College for dental assisting. She has been an assistant for over 13 years now, and has been at Clarence Street Dental for over 4 years. Despite the fact the dentist she works with loves root canals, she says she doesn’t have a favourite procedure. She says each patient is so different that every appointment is interesting! Jess is absolutely in love with her sons, Bodhi and Griffin. But when she does get free time she loves to eat out and try new foods. And she says she can’t forget about her love for all things Harry Potter!!!
Jessie graduated as a dental assistant (level 2 certified with NDAEB) from Westervelt College, after completing her Bachelor’s Degree at Toronto Metropolitan University with a biology major/psychology minor. She loves that at Clarence Street Dental there is a positive team experience and everyone is encouraged to further their education and learning. Along with her dental assisting role, Jessie has also joined our patient coordinator team. Her interests include all things teeth & Disney!
Lauren started working at Clarence Street Dental in 2015. She initially worked with the front desk team, but has now become an assistant. She loves that because of this she was able to make connections with all the members of the CSDG team. Lauren loves assisting on all the different types of procedures as they’re all unique and interesting in their own way.When she’s not at work, Lauren enjoys spending time with her boyfriend and her family & friends, cuddling with her corgi, Bob Barker, and two kittens, Jerry and George, and eating cheeseburgers.
Mikayla chose to become a dental assistant because she has always loved teeth, helping people, the hands-on aspect, and that every day is different. She is currently attending Westervelt College to become a full-time dental assistant. Her favourite part about her job is seeing people leave happy and more comfortable with their teeth than when they came in. Her favourite part about working at CSDG is the people, as she says “everyone is so welcoming and willing to help each other out, and that each member of the team is always there to support one another”. In her spare time Mikayla likes to workout, go on hikes, hangout with friends, and watch crime shows.
Nikita was always interested in medicine, and since oral health was incredibly important to her, she thought it would be a perfect career to help others and educate them about oral health. She went to Medix College and graduated with honours. She has now been a dental assistant since 2010 and with Clarence Street Dental since March 2019. Nikita enjoys all aspects of dental assisting, but she is passionate about children’s dentistry. She loves that she works alongside our in-house pediatric dentist. Nikita is married with three boys, and has two cats, a pig, and four chickens.
Sam’s interest in dental started at a young age as she loved going to her own dental visits. She attended Westervelt College and completed both Level I and II dental assisting. She has been an assistant since 2018 and with Clarence Street Dental since then. Sam enjoys all aspects of dentistry but finds herself intrigued with dental crowns. She says the design and art of creating crowns amazes her. When she’s not working, Sam enjoys reading, painting, and disc golfing. She spends her time with her six-year-old son and daughter.
Sue began working at Clarence Street Dental in 2024. Her dental assistant career began 11 years ago after completing the dental assistant program at Everest College in 2013. Her favourite thing about working in dental is that she enjoys meeting and interacting with patients. In her free time, she loves to spend time with her family and their golden retriever, Nevlyn.
Taylor decided to pursue a career in the dental field after getting braces when she was younger. She loved the way her teeth looked and how her orthodontist was able to transform her smile, and decided right then that dentistry would be the perfect job for her. She went to Medix College in Brantford and graduated with Honours. She was hired as an assistant on the last day of her co-op placement at CSDG and has now been a full-time assistant here since September 2015. In addition to assisting our doctors every day, Taylor works with the oral surgery team and says it is her favourite part of assisting. She says that although it may seem a little gross to most people, she finds it exciting and loves all of the different procedures and surgeries. In her spare time, Taylor loves riding horses, riding dirt-bikes with her husband, Brandon, and snuggling with her son, Emerson, and her doggo, Hemi.

Amy began working at Clarence Street Dental in 2022. She comes with over 25 years of experience as a nurse, most of which was spent in the Emergency Room. Amy decided to enrol herself in school to upgrade her nursing license from an RPN certificate to a diploma; she then obtained her BScN undergraduate degree. In her spare time, she enjoys walking, reading, swimming, knitting, and travelling.
