Meet Rachel, one of our business assistants, who wants to share with you how the biggest influence in her life affects her work here at Clarence Street Dental!
Who has been the biggest influence on your life? What lessons did that person teach you?
Both of my parents have had a big and positive influence on my life, and growing up I always tried to model myself after my Mom. She has taught me many lessons that have made me the person I am today. She is the type of person who believes that a caring and positive attitude will better the lives of other’s and can help someone through any situation that comes their way. My Mom is very hard working and willing to be creative and work a diverse field of jobs to support her family. When she needs to complete a difficult task, she does not shy away from it. She works on the job right away and gives it 100% effort.
I bring all these lessons my Mom taught me to my work here at Clarence Street Dental. Every person I interact with, whether it be a coworker or a patient, I try to bring the positivity that my Mom has shown me to these interactions. I’m fortunate that I get to speak with many of our patients on the phone each day, and I enjoy being able to take a moment while I am on the phone with them to ask how they are doing. The work ethic that my Mom has shown me helps me handle the difficult tasks that arise in our workplace. I know that I can complete the job if I keep my positivity up and start working on it right away.
